Rogal Dorn Custom - Private Commission

The client reached out wanting a custom Warhammer 40,000 Rogal Dorn Battle Tank inspired by the colour schemes of the Napoleonic Wars — rich blues, muted greys, deep reds, and classic French-style livery. This whole project was painted live over on my Twitch stream, which made it even more fun to work through in real time.

I also got the chance to test out the Monument Hobbies “Newsh” Medium, which I’m now convinced is basically cheat code in a bottle, alongside some enamel inks from the Villainy Ink range by Grimdark Compendium.

The goal with this one was to create a tank that looked battle-ready without being completely beaten down — like it had just rolled straight onto the battlefield for its first campaign. I think the balance between clean armour and subtle weathering came together really nicely on this piece.
