Custom Baneblade Commission - Astra Militarium Warhammer 40k

It's not every day you get to paint one super-heavy tank... but two? Now we're talking!

This pair of Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 Baneblade variants was commissioned for an Astra Militarum army, with each vehicle receiving its own unique identity.

The first is a custom Baneblade, painted to resemble the legendary Fortress of Arrogance, the iconic war machine of Commissar Yarrick. It was a fantastic project to bring such an iconic vehicle to life, and I was more than happy to tackle the challenge.

The second is a Stormsword, finished in a rugged desert camouflage with a tiger stripe twist to tie in seamlessly with the client's existing army. The weathering, dust, and battle-worn finish really helped sell the idea that these two beasts have seen their fair share of combat.

Projects like this are always a blast. Taking a client's vision and turning it into something unique is one of the best parts of what I do, and I think these two look right at home rolling onto the battlefields of the 41st Millennium.
