"The Archduke Mousin" – A Private Commission #2
Another Take on "The Archduke Mousin" – Private Commission
Here’s the second rendition of this fantastically whimsical sculpt from Rescale Miniatures—this time for a different (and anonymous) client who requested a focus on rich reds and regal golds. Apart from that, I had full creative freedom—always a pleasure!
While it shares some DNA with the first version, this one leans into a more earthy, grounded palette. There’s a bit more grit in the textures, and I played that up with plenty of ‘Dirty Down’ Moss—seriously, that stuff is magic in a bottle. I’m eyeing their latest range already.
Once again, Kimera’s Velvet Acrylic Inks helped tie it all together, especially when building depth across the wings and natural elements. I hope you enjoy this take as much as I enjoyed making it!
